Office Wi-Fi

Office

Typical wireless scope: walk the floor, place APs for desks and meeting rooms, cable them home, optional guest SSID.

Typical office Wi-Fi design and installation for one floor or a small office. This is a reference scope for quotation. Access point positions, backhaul to the rack, and optional guest SSID are agreed after a walkthrough. Best results come when copper points for APs are included in the same cabling package.

Requirements

Staff move between rooms. The signal has to hold in meeting rooms and at the desks, with a separate path for guests when required. Guessing AP count from the corridor alone is not enough.

Solution

Walk the floor, place enterprise access points, cable them home, and check roaming between rooms. Guest access is added only when the client asks for it. Channels and power are set to reduce co-channel crowding.
